Materials Laboratory
College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology (ECST) at California State University, Los Angles (CSULA) is equipped with several materials processing and characterization facilities. This includes a foundry facility, several machining equipment, 3D printing machines, mechanics of materials, and metallography laboratories along with other facilities.
In addition, various testing and characterization resources are available through the NSF-funded Center of Engineering and Sustainability at CSULA. The facilities include: Optical Microscopes, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) and Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM), Arc-Melting Furnace, Pulsed Laser Deposition, Reduction Stepper, Tube Furnaces, and Heat Treatment Furnaces.
